Immigrants making Canada home.

The pandemic has seen an evolution in the Canadian immigration programmes and way of handling the

Changes.

Under its new Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024, unveiled last month, Canada is targeting nearly 432,000 new immigrant landings this year, which would be the highest level in history. Last year Canada landed over 405,000 immigrants, primarily by transitioning those living in the country to permanent residence. Mar 15, 2022

“With the economy growing faster than employers can hire new workers, Canada needs to look at every option so that we have the skills and labour needed to fuel our growth” said Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser

To support these increased levels, the Government of Canada recently announced a plan to modernize Canada’s immigration system to fuel economic recovery and improve client experience, which will help address key challenges faced by our clients, such as reducing inventories and creating the predictable processing times that our clients expect and deserve.

The 2022–2024 Immigration Levels Plan will help cement Canada’s place among the world’s top destinations for talent, creating a strong foundation for post-pandemic economic growth while reuniting family members with their loved ones and fulfilling Canada’s humanitarian commitments.
